HILLS, VALLEYS, AND GLACIERS

The South Branch of the Root River in Forestville St. Park in S.E. Minnesota is a good example of the river valleys that are unique to this area of the upper midwest. See the article on the relationship of glaciers and the river valleys a few pictures down.

Ravines are really tributary valleys to river valleys and are eroded out during major rainfalls.
