MATING MONARCHS. WE HAVE OFTEN SEEN THE MATING PAIR FLYING THROUGH THE AIR ATTACHED TO EACH OTHER. THEY THEN LAY THE EGGS ON THE MILKWEED PLANTS. THE EGGS HATCH IN LARVA WITH THEN FEED ON THE MILKWEED.
