Cooper's Hawk hunting birds near our feeders today.

 

 Saw good numbers of Tundra Swans, Sandhill Cranes, and Bald Eagles along the Mississippi and the backwaters from Brownville Mn to New Albin, Iowa on Friday  Backwaters are starting to freeze up and they will be moving on soon.

 

 Mississippi backwaters migration update.  Monday Nov.1, 2024  Saw good numbers of Pelicans, Tundra Swans, Trumpeter Swans, Pelicans, Sandhill Cranes, and multiple duck species along the Big River today.

 The Sandhill Cranes are flocking up in the Mississippi backwaters.  Saw about 50 glide into this area just before sundown. 

 Lost 40, a 40 acre old growth Red & White pine forest between Blackduck and Bigfork, Mn.
