Junco.  The Junco's have been here for in good numbers for about 5 weeks now.  They prefer to feed on the ground, and prefer the small millet seeds to the sunflower seeds.

A few more female Purple Finches pulled in today.  We have about 8 daily now at our feeders.

Bald Eagle pair.  More than likely a mated pair.  Mississippi backwaters, New Albin, Iowa.  We saw about 50 eagles in a 15 mile stretch of the river south of Brownsville, Mn.

Full Moon tonight.  Sadly the rise of the moon was obscured by clouds in the east.

White Pelican, Brownsville, Mn.  Most of the Pelicans were about 1.5 miles away, but this one posed for us about 100 yards off shore.

Tundra Swans, Brownsville, Mn.  About two thousand swans are now on the Mississippi backwaters here, but this number will increase daily as they leave the far north.  We have seen as many as 20,000 at a time in late November.

Canvasback ducks over the Mississippi.

This bad photo was shot on the move through the front window of a car, a mink that has just captured a frog is something you do not see every day.

Female Purple Finch.  Had six females, down from up north, at our feeders today.
