THE MONARCH CATERPILLAR FEEDS ON THE MILKWEED FAMILY OF PLANTS. THESE PLANTS CONTAIN A TOXIN THE IS IN THE CATERPILLAR AND LATER THE ADULT MONARCH. THIS PROTECTS THE MONARCH FROM PREDITORS

For years we have kept track of events such as the arrival of the first Hummingbird or the blooming of the first Marsh Marigold.
