And after all those beautiful flowers and birds we have enjoyed for the last several days, this is what we woke up to this morning!  Ahhhh, Minnesota.  May 2 and we are in a snowstorm again.  We are shoveling underneath our feeders and trying to keep our bird friends fed.  It is very strange to watch an oriole eating nectar from an orange while it is snowing.  There is also a Rose-breasted Grosbeak searching for seeds and countless other birds scratching around.   At our feeders this morning: Towhee,  Rose-breasted Grosbeak,  Northern Oriole, Cardinals, Blue Jays,  Red-breasted Nuthatch, White-breasted Nuthatch, Purple Finch, Cowbird, Brown Thrasher,  Woodpeckers (Hairy,Downy, Red-bellied), Goldfinches, Sparrows ( White-throated, White-crowned, Field, Song, Chipping) Junco, Chicadees.  Some years we have hummingbirds here by now.  Thank goodness they have not yet arrived!
