Fossilized tooth of a Wooly Mammoth found in a gravel pit near Austin Mn in 1916.  The 7 inch tall tooth is currently at the Austin Mn public Library on loan from the Bell Museum of St. Paul.  The 9 ft tall Wooly Mammoths roamed Minnesota at the end of the last Ice age about 14-10 thousand years ago.
