Hepatica, one of our favorite spring woodland wildflowers.  3-4 inches tall, 3-lobed leaves, and has  a hairy stem for cold night protection.  Most have a brilliant white flower, but can vary in color from white to a less common blue.  This coming week, on sunny days, should see the peak of the Hepatica display.
