Brown Thrasher at our feeder. We got 7 inches of snow last night and he has been her for two days now. Should have gone south a long time ago.

Junco at our window feeder. We have good numbers of Junco's but most of them prefer to feed on the ground rather than come to the feeders.

Sunset Dec. 9, 2015. We have no snow, with a high today of almost 50 degrees F. We are running almost 20 degrees above normal.

Tundra Swans south of Brownsville, MN on Dec. 7th. The warm weather has kept several thousand swans in the area this year. The very cold weather in November of 2015 drove the swans east early last year.

For years we have kept track of events such as the arrival of the first Hummingbird or the blooming of the first Marsh Marigold. We have now begun to photograph these events and felt others may be interested in what we run into in our "nature wanderings".
