 7 out of the 10 Bald Eagle nests we have seen in the last few days had at least one parent sitting on the nest.  The Bald Eagle nesting has begun.


 Red-tailed Hawks have also paired up but have not seen any on a nest yet.

Deer and Turkeys have come up to the lawn most afternoons to feed on the Highbush Cranberries.

 Redpoll, a small visitor from up north.  This one was in a flock of Goldfinches and is the first Redpoll we have seen in several years.

 This male Hairy Woodpecker has learned to put the seeds in a Knothole to crack them.  When we first moved here 24 years ago none of the woodpeckers ate sunflower seeds-they have al now learned to do so.


 Turkeys are coming up to the Highbush Cranberries as the winter gets tougher.
