 Birds at the feeder after a 9 inch March snow.  All the usual winter birds +Fox Sparrow's, Tree Sparrow's, Red-winged Blackbird's, Grackel's, White-throated Sparrow, Mourning Doves.

 Bald Eagle pair.  Sometimes Bald Eagles will turn in flight and lock talons with each other.  They will then spiral downward for some time as a locked pair.  We have seen this behavior many times but today we were close enough to hear the sound of their talons as they locked.  No photo of the locked spiral, maybe someday.

 Hooded Merganser, ice fishermen that had to use a boat to get to the ice.  The backwaters are opening up.

 Ring-necked duck at Iron Mine ponds south of Spring Valley Mn.  First Migratory duck we have seen there this spring as most of the ponds are still iced in.


 Trumpeter Swans are paired up in the Whitewater Valley, but not vocalizing much yet.
