Pelicans, Mississippi River, Iowa-Minnesota boarder.  Saw several large flocks of Pelicans today.  Also saw we over 1000 Tundra Swans.

Painted Turtle.  Our first turtle sighting of 2018.  Found it about 20 miles north of St. Chales Mn in the White Water Valley.

Sandhill Crane in full breeding color plumage, White Water Valley.

Trumpeter Swans, White Water Valley.  Also saw about two dozen Tundra Swans in the valley.

Ring-billed Gulls, Mississippi backwaters.  The backwaters are about 50% ice free-spring is moving slowly this year.

Bald Eagle alongside our driveway.  All the Eagle nests we have seen this week have eagles sitting-the eggs must now be in all the nests.

Red-winged Blackbirds at our feeder this morning.  Had about 100 Redwings at feeder area.  Got a good 6 inches of snow last night.

Grackle.  The snowstorm has brought us a small flock of Grackles and one Red-winged Blackbird.
