Song Sparrow.  Many Song Sparrow singing at our place today.  A great website to bookmark for bird songs  and bird ID is    allaboutbirds.org/guide/browse/taxonomy    Just go the site and type the birds name or family in the search box and hit the enter key.  Then to hear the song click on the speaker symbol in the circle.  

 SIGNS OF SPRING:  BALD EAGLES NESTING, CANADA GEESE PAIRED, SANDHILL CRANES, AND A TREE FULL OF SINGING REWINGS.

 

 Great Horned Owl hunting along our driveway Tue. night.  It was getting quite dark and got this photo as best we could.  1/60sec., f8, ISO 25600, 565mm, handheld.

 

 Male(top) & Female Purple Finch.  Also had 7 Robins and a Sandhill Crane here today.

 Many flocks of Horned Larks on the roadside shoulders of flatland country roads.
