NATURE NOTES OF S.E. MINNESOTA
Sny Magill Mound Group, Mississippi backwaters South of McGregor, Iowa. These Mounds were constructed by Native Americans between 1400-750 years before the present. Most are conical in shape, but some are animal Effigies in the shape of bears, hawks, or other animals. Most, if not all, are not burial mounds.

For years we have kept track of events such as the arrival of the first Hummingbird or the blooming of the first Marsh Marigold.
